How to file a claim
Four steps, fully documented.
- STEP 01
Notify dispatch within 24 hours
Call (404) 997-2478 or email claims@tidewaterdispatch.com with the load number, BOL and a brief description of the issue.
- STEP 02
Document the damage or shortage
Photos at the dock, the signed delivery receipt with exception noted, and an itemized list of affected product.
- STEP 03
Submit the formal claim
Send the completed claim form (we email it back the same day) plus invoices showing replacement cost — no inflated retail.
- STEP 04
Resolution within 30 days
Most claims are acknowledged in 5 business days and resolved within 30. Status updates come from a named adjuster, not a queue.
Standard cargo coverage
$100,000 per shipment. Higher limits scheduled same-day on request.
Payment terms
Net 30 standard. Quick-pay 2 days at a 2% discount. Carriers paid Net 15 on POD.
Consolidated invoicing
Weekly or monthly rollups with custom reference fields for 10+ loads/month.
